Right after I typed her seven-month post, she started crawling -- first the belly scoot and now a full crawl. She sort of looks like she's doing the breaststroke on our carpet. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth, gearing up for a sprint to whatever toy is beyond her grasp. Last weekend, her first tooth (bottom middle) finally broke through. You can tell she's uncomfortable, and unfortunately, there are many more teeth to come.
Her sleeping has definitely improved, thankfully. She's even getting into a more consistent nap schedule with a short nap in the morning and a longer nap in the afternoon. On the menu these days is oatmeal for breakfast, fruit for lunch and veggies for dinner. We've dabbled with a little table food, like scrambled eggs, banana bread and avocado. So far, the only food she really hasn't taken to is pureed bananas. She's still nursing when she can, and taking a cocktail of milk and formula at daycare. She never took to her thumb like her sister, but unfortunately still relies on her pacifier at sleep time.
Most of the time, Anna is calm and full of smiles. She can easily be put into a giggle fit by her sister or the sound of buttons on a phone (she LOVES speaker phone). She's very content gazing out the window during our car rides. I wonder what she's thinking...
